Chinese Trucker is Speared by an 18 FOOT Wooden Stake and Survives

Dailymail-14 April 2014-
A truck driver had a miraculous escape when he was impaled on a wooden stake which missed his heart and caused only limited damage to his other organs.
Trucker Li Feng, 40, was involved in a horrific road accident in which a 18-foot-long wooden pole went through his stomach and the driver's seat of his vehicle.
According to a local police spokesman, Mr Feng's vehicle crashed into another lorry carrying timber in a multi-car pile-up.

The spokesman added: 'As a result of the accident, several of the wooden poles that were sticking out over the allowed limit from the lorry in front, speared into the lorry behind and smashed into the cab. One of them went into the body of the driver who was pinned to his seat.'
It took emergency services nearly an hour to get to the scene of the accident, which happened in busy traffic in the city of Kaifeng in central China's Henan province.
By then Mr Feng was unconscious and remained under while rescue crews cut the lorry's seat out of the cab and took him and the stake to hospital.
Incredible pictures from the hospital show Mr Feng arriving still pinned to his seat before surgeons battled to save him.

He was taken to the operating theatre, where doctors found that the wooden stake had damaged his stomach, spleen and left lung, but not killed him because it missed his heart.
It took a marathon four-hour operation for medics to safely remove the wood and doctors say Mr Feng is now expected to recover.
They have described his condition as stable, but say he is likely to remain in hospital for several weeks to make sure there is no sign of infection.
Doctor Chung Peng said: 'The only risk now is that we may not have removed all of the dirt and fragments of wood or material that may have been forced into his body.
'If no infection sets in during the next few days, we expect him to make a full recovery.'
