Re: Chinese Boy Drowns While His Mom Plays with Her Phone
The great thing about swimming, you don't need to know how not to drown especially in a fucking pool. Stop fucking moving, you can chuck your infant in the pool it wont drown (do not attempt). Its almost hard for me to believe hearing these people drowning in pools, then I see it and hear about it on the news. Also as someone mentioned, life guards? I get not strong swimmers getting fucked in oceans and lakes or fast moving rivers n shit, another when you are 3' from the edge of a public pool. Maybe its growing up around water that has me flabbergasted, 7 billion people I bet someone has managed to drown in a puddle though. Poor kid, shitty for the family, all around completely avoidable tragedy. |

Re: Chinese Boy Drowns While His Mom Plays with Her Phone
I know someone's kid has drowned in a bucket and that is why they have the picture of the kid as a warning on some. I admit after reading I was a bit flabbergasted as well because you can pass out after drowning but if people are around you can usually save them in time with CPR. To die drowning you have to be under a long time. Dry drowning is what scares me with my kids because that can happen to good swimmers who just get caught in an undertow or get too much water up their nose. |

Re: Chinese Boy Drowns While His Mom Plays with Her Phone
What drives me nuts is enhanced penalties for someone who gets into a motor accident due to being distracted by their cell phone. Careless operation citations should already cover that, as well as any other distraction (eating, music, conversation, etc.) that a driver attends to more than the road. But nooooooo! Since cell phones are the newest-latest in social evils from which us poor little plebes must be protected, they require their own special legislation. Bullshit. |
