China's fifth-ever manned mission has successfully blasted off from a location in the Gobi desert and will now head to the country's prototype orbital station, where the crew will spend 14 days - a Chinese space record. The Shenzhou-10 craft, carrying two male astronauts, and the second Chinese woman to go to space, will dock with the experimental Tiangong-1 space lab 40 hours after lift-off.

Tiangong-1 will be deorbited in 2013, and replaced over the following decade by the larger Tiangong-2 and Tiangong-3 modules.

You need balls of steels to board any spacecraft, much more to board an experimental spacecraft made in china hoping to dock with a prototype of orbital station (made in china as well) which is supposed to be fully operational only by 2020.
