Actually, he can. There was a complaint lodged against him in Whitechapel. Where his scam buddy in the US was also from and lived. Not exactly the specific times like boat passenger lists, but he's also completely missing from anything in the US at that time as well. He bought the land for the Murder Hotel 2 months before the Ripper started. Nothing happened with that land, until 2 months after the last Ripper victim, when construction was called for. |
