Re: Chauvin Trial
I suspect the verdict, if found guilty, will be purely for show to appease the mob. Chauvin will be given a new name and put into some sort of witness protection program. Looking at the autopsy reports, it seems Floyd died from a Fentanyl overdose and not from being asphyxiated. That would denote that Chauvin was not responsible for Floyd's death. |

Re: Chauvin Trial
There's no way he won't be found guilty even though he wasn't responsible for Floyd's death. The mob will go spastic and America will burn for another six months. They will hand him a faux "guilty" verdict and then quietly usher him off somewhere under a new name and identity. I bet Chauvin already knows. |

Re: Chauvin Trial
I have more faith in our judiciary than that. It's not much, honestly, but the judiciary is really all we have left. Am I holding on to a thread? Maybe. The Minnesota judiciary is elected, so maybe you're right. But if you are, then my op is less watered down. A not-guilty verdict would hold more weight, yes? |

Re: Chauvin Trial
Yes, but I believe the knee on the neck was a contributing factor. Also his panic when they tried to put him in the vehicle. Don't believe the drugs alone would have killed him without those other contributing factors. And likely the same if reversed, if there were no drugs involved, nor panic... perhaps a knee to the neck wouldn't have killed him. The drugs, the struggling on his part, the knee to the side of the neck for 10 minutes... all contributing factors, imo. Who knows what will happen. Sad to say that if he is found not guilty, there will likely be more violence. |

I wonder how much of that $27 million dollar settlement the Floyd family has already blown on dime bags.

Re: Chauvin Trial
this trial can end in nothing but acquittal or mistrial, so i hope everyone is preparing themselves for the coming peaceful protests that will likely burn down entire city blocks. and when there is no conviction, i will get chris' boat money and blow it on crap. |
