Re: Caught on Tape: Texas Cop Executes Handcuffed Suspect
As many of you know, I have some expertise in investigating use of force incidents. I've watched the video twice and I think I know exactly what happened...I've seen it before on two separate occasions. The bad guy was an idiot and in a time not too long ago, he would have had his convict ass beaten to a proverbial pulp then unceremoniously dumped in a padded cell and sprayed with ice cold water for the next two days. But enough of the good old days. What happened in this case is a muscle memory problem by the officer wearing the dark uniform. He was clearly thinking Taser, but out of muscle memory drew his pistol and reflexively shot the bad guy. I say this with a fair degree of certainty, based on both officer's movements and body language just prior to the shot being fired. Watch the officer's hands very carefully just before he draws his pistol. See the hesitation before, during, and during the reholster? This is not as uncommon as it my seem. It happens all too often...anyone remember the San Francisco BART Officer that shot the guy instead of Tasing him several years ago? Same thing. If you doubt me, look around at officers in your community. Look where the Taser is holstered and where their pistol is holstered...they're usually on opposite sides of the officer's body. Most agencies also purchase bright yellow Tasers as an added precaution. This officer's Taser appears to be holstered on his left side away from his pistol...he just plain fucked up and accidentally shot the guy. There's no mystery or conspiracy...just humans being human. To say this was an intentional murder is asinine and a giant leap to a conclusion that just isn't here. The cop fucked up...BAD. And it's going to cost him and his department in a huge way...and you know what? It should. His agency should have better trained that officer and reinforced his muscle memory to the point where this type of accident can't happen. The officer also reacted waaaay too fast...there was no emergency to Tase or subdue this guy...he should've paused for a moment and then popped the asshole...he had plenty of time, but it appears that he panicked. The story said that he was a weight lifter? Sometimes the biggest and buffest officers are the ones most concerned about using too much force to subdue a suspect, so they halfass it. Everyone's afraid of an excessive force law suit or internal affairs investigation. This is clearly NOT A MURDER...it's a tragic accident. Put away your agenda and watch the video very closely...watch the officer's body language and his hands and I think you'll see what I'm talking about. This officer is not going to be charged with murder or anything else regarding this incident. |

Re: Caught on Tape: Texas Cop Executes Handcuffed Suspect
that's not exactly how his own defense attorney from the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas described it... they then said it wasnt his fault at all... he was bumped and the weapon discharged. ...... |

Re: Caught on Tape: Texas Cop Executes Handcuffed Suspect
No so...just because his attorney sucks is no reason to find fault with my obviously superior interpretation of the event. I could of gotten him off completely...what a dumbass. Why would any even semi competent lawyer come up with a lame excuse like that? He meant to draw his pistol because the prior Taser hits didn't work?!? That's insane...who says stupid shit like that...even in Texas? He admitted to knowingly and intentionally drawing his pistol at a handcuffed, but unarmed bad guy, what the fuck...you can't do that...EVER! Shit...I guess I gave the idiot more credit than he deserved...he should be convicted of just being stupid. You can't even defend a dumb position like that...what a colossal fool to allow the lawyer to do that. I'm dumbstruck and shocked that it worked...I would have just shot myself if I couldn't do better than that. I guess I missed a great opportunity to make a butt load of money testifying as an expert in this case. I'm just shocked. Well he's on his own on this one...he can't be defended and if that's really what he admitted to doing then he should be fired and sued into the stone age. |

Re: Caught on Tape: Texas Cop Executes Handcuffed Suspect
This guy killed himself. This was - another - clear cut case of Suicide By Cop. Low life sociopathic Thugs like this...die like this one way or another. Thug Life -> Thug Death He kept pushing things in different areas of his life until he finally achieved what the wanted. He was self-destructive, so he destroyed himself. He just manipulated the cops into being part of his own scheme to destroy himself. People like this almost always achieve their aim of destroying themselves and usually try and drag as many people down while doing so. In this case, Thug Boy has involved Officers that are only trying to earn an honest living. He should have been shot - on sight - and his family's house burned to the ground. He deserved far worse. |
