It's a well-known superstition that cats have nine lives, but for one lucky puss its her two faces that have her a worldwide internet sensation.

Strictly-speaking Venus may have only one face, but its two perfectly-divided halves are so different its like looking at a pair of totally distinct felines.

While one half has jet black fur, the other has calico, and the piercing green right eye could not be more different from the ice blue left one.

The chimera tabby has 22,000 Facebook fans after her proud owner created a page on the social networking site dedicated to her "gentle" and "perfect" pet with a deceptively big appetite.

And a home video of this very special master of disguise has already racked up almost 600,000 hits on YouTube.

"As tiny as she is she likes to pick the giant pieces of food from the dog food bowl rather than eat her cat food," said the owner.

A chimera is a single organism, usually an animal, that is composed of two or more different populations of genetically distinct cells that originated from different zygotes involved in sexual reproduction.

Ive had many tortoiseshell cats that have had half n half faces...it's quite common tbh

There are human chimeras as well. Some organs may have different DNA than your blood.

I was watching a show on TLC, Beyond Ordinary, Season 1, Episode 7, "I Am My Own Twin". Technically, the woman featured was supposed to be a twin, but, they never split and she has both of their DNA.

They told her her son wasn't hers until someone checked one of her organs. She knew her son was her son since she had him since he was born.

Very interesting phenomenon!

Great show! They also featured a baby who was literally half black and half white, pretty much down the middle of his torso.
