Canucks fans initiated it because their team lost. And it's not the first time fans of this team have gone ape-shit after a loss.
Yep, they did it in '94-95 too.

Montreal, on the other hand, does it when they win.

the final game was 8-1, they left luongo in net to keep letting in goals. We were up in the series 3 games to 1 and they fucking blew it. Hockey is our game, and we should have had the cup that year. But those god damn canuckleheads fucking blew it. I'm gonna go start a riot just for being reminded about this bullshit. Fuckin canucks. Stupid luongo. Overpaid bastritch.
