Re: Camper Eats Hero Dog To Survive, Found Alive After Three Months In The Woods
Don't think I could have made that choice but I think it depends on your survival instinct. Some people loose that as they age to the point of no longer giving a rats ass and then the dog eats you and he survives. |

I can't say for sure, but I don't think I could ever kill my dog for survival. Honestly I'd rather die than do that to a dog that saved me from a bear.

Re: Camper Eats Hero Dog To Survive, Found Alive After Three Months In The Woods
Makes sense to take a rifle when heading into the bush for 3 months, any experienced outdoorsman would not have thought twice about it. Then to be able to kill your dog for food would be tough, but to kill it after it saved your life is beyond my understanding. Rewarding loyalty with trechery is dishonourable, selfish, cowardly, and weak.

Until you are in that situation, you can't really say what you'd do. Your mind and body go in survival mode and you'll eat anything to stay alive.

Re: Camper Eats Hero Dog To Survive, Found Alive After Three Months In The Woods
BOLLOCKS! Good decisions equals survival preparation in advanced. A 3 month trip into the wilderness? Even I know you need to be more than capable pf fending for yourself if shit hits the fan and what happens to this so-called "experienced" outdoorsman? He kills the one thing that has the pedigree to get him the fuck out of there and sense danger. Wolves? Bears? Moose? Dogs see and hear them a mile off. So no, I dont buy this guys bullshit story of survival. More than likely he watched a few bear Grills shows and thought "well shit if he can do it!". A true outdoorsman would have known how to hunt. |

Re: Camper Eats Hero Dog To Survive, Found Alive After Three Months In The Woods
I've seen the pictures, and I'm sure you have, of dogs lying by their dead owners or their graves They are loyal to each other, too. When my dad's dog, Fred, died, my brothers buried him on their land. His friends dug him up twice. They had to bury him deeper. |
