IRON MOUNTAIN, MI - Two Iron Mountain firefighters injured in a scary gas station fire are "doing good," according to a statement from the fire department.

The incident occurred when crews responded a fire at the Upper Peninsula city's EZ Mart and Burger King near 1950 S. Stephenson Ave. around 3:11 p.m. on Saturday, May 20.

According to WLUC-TV 6, a wall on the EZ Mart side of the building collapsed and trapped an Iron Mountain Fire Department member for about two minutes.

Video of the incident was captured by Jason Asselin, who was standing across the street while firefighters battled the blaze. You can see that footage above, but view with caution. It may be scary for some. (Almost 3 minutes, action starts at 35 seconds into video)

That firefighter was pulled out, treated for burns at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital and released by 8 p.m. on Saturday. Another Iron Mountain firefighter was briefly hospitalized for smoke inhalation, TV 6 reports.

The Iron Mountain Fired Department posted the following message to its Facebook page on Sunday, May 21.

"All of the members of IMFD would like to thank all of those individuals who put themselves in harm's way to help us rescue one of our members at the fire yesterday. We are forever grateful for your selfless act of heroism."
