I've watched orange is the new black and, it's really hard being behind the bars, and for people who've been there for a long time kinda loses hope even though they have changed inside, I think being updated for the situation of his sons is okay, who knows? but decrease it like perhaps once a month only. This is a 50 50 percent chance. He might make up to his sons when he gets out realising what he have done, or he might try to harm someone again. We don't know.

This is why I think judges and the cops who blindly enforce abusive laws are some of the worst people out there. Judges have too much power and discretion. Contempt of court is a ridiculous concept. Even more ridiculous are the people who enforce those orders. I do understand a parent wanting to be informed about his child. Maybe a more rational solution would be for an independent party to write the father 3 times a year with news about the boys acquired from a visit with the boys a few times a year. Then the kids can write their father or communicate to him. Of course kids should have the option to say no to contact.

It's a stupid sentence! The woman and boys have to relive it as long as the boys are under 18, I ASSume.

The situation was between the mother and the father. Blood is thicker than water. A stupid mistake or even a terrible act doesn't automatically mean a child would stop loving his father. Whatever the case it's a stupid court order to force the mother to write if she doesn't want to.

Shouldn't those two poor boys and the traumatic experience he caused them to endure be taken into consideration? Why should they have to continue to be in contact with the one person who tried to take their mother, in front of them!! And, really, 9 years!

Did your dad do anything unforgivably wrong to you or your mother? If not, even though he was insane, you HAVE to understand how much it meant to him to see his beautiful daughters face. You were probably the only reason thing he had to live for in his mind. If he did in fact abuse you in any way then disregard this post
