British Man Missing In KL Since May 27, UK Media Reports

A British man, Jordan Johnson-Doyle, 25, has been missing in Kuala Lumpur since last Tuesday (May 27) after his family failed to contact him, the UK Daily Mail has reported. He was last seen in Healy Mac's Irish Bar in Bangsar at 8pm when he sent his best friend Owen a photograph of the pub's quiz night poster. The software engineer has been on a solo trip to the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia while working remotely for about a year and a half now. He arrived in Malaysia on May 17 and was believed to have been staying at Robertson Residences Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur. Jordan’s mother, Leanne Burnett, 44, worried and anxious about bringing him home, said they have been trying to get in touch with him via phone and social media.

His phone is said to have gone dead in the city area last Friday. According to Burnett, based on the “Find my iPhone” tracking service, the phone was located at a residential flat near the Irish-themed bar last Wednesday. Leanne had been consistently checking up on her son and the tracking service before she slept and after waking up in the morning. Leanne had spoken to him on Monday, May 26, talking about their usual work matters and expressed that he sounded normal. The family has also since contacted the British Consulate and police in Malaysia for assistance.

Family Of Missing British Backpacker Flies To Malaysia

The family of a missing British backpacker Jordan Johnson-Doyle have flown to Malaysia after Merseyside Police issued an update. Johnson-Doyle, from Southport, hasn't been heard from since Tuesday, May 27, while backpacking in the Southeast Asian country. Malaysia is a popular and generally safe tourist destination, known for its beaches and cuisine. The 25-year-old was last seen at around 8pm Tuesday at Healy Mac's Irish Bar in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. He sent his best friend, Owen, a photograph of the pub's quiz night poster. On the following day, his mum Leanne Burnett said she checked the "Find My iPhone" tracking service for the location of his mobile phone and saw it was located at a residential flat block near the bar, the Liverpool's daily newspaper, ECHO reported.

Two days later, on Friday, May 30, his phone went dead. Leanne said: "I speak to Jordan every day, and I have him on find my iPhone, so I always have a look before I go to bed and when I wake up in the morning. But when I woke up on Wednesday morning, his Find My iPhone had not updated. It just said 'last seen 11 hours ago'. The software engineer has been backpacking by himself around the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia for around 18 months while working remotely for an American company. Johnson-Doyle arrived in Malaysia on May 17 after previously visiting Vietnam and is believed to have been staying at the Robertson Residences in Bukit, Kuala Lumpur. Now, his mum, as well other relatives, have travelled to the country to aid the search for Jordan more than a week on from his last sighting, posts on social media announced.

Meanwhile, an intense police search for the missing Briton at a partially under construction condominium along Lorong Maarof in Bangsar led to the discovery of decomposed body there. Police investigations are ongoing. Brickfields police chief Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said that police traced the movements of the British backpacker to the condominium yesterday. Those with any information on Johnson-Doyle's whereabouts are urged to contact the nearest police station or reach out to Pantai police station chief Assistant Superintendent Khairul Nizam Ramle at 013-7000672, police said.

Cops Confirm Body In Bangsar Is Missing British Man

Police have confirmed that the body found at a construction site in Bangsar yesterday is that of a British man reported missing after a night out in the area last month. Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Isa said a relative of Jordan Johnson-Doyle identified the victim based on a tattoo on his body.

“We confirm that the body is that of the person reported missing on June 2,” he said in a statement.

Rusdi said police were informed at 4.30pm yesterday that the body of a man was found in an elevator shaft on the ground floor of a construction site in Bangsar. An autopsy held today revealed that the cause of death was a chest injury resulting from a fall from height.

“No criminal elements were found at the scene. The case has been classified as sudden death.”

He urged the public against speculating on the case and called for those with information on Johnson-Doyle’s death to come forward and assist in the investigation. Johnson-Doyle was believed to have gone to Healy Mac’s Irish Bar in Bangsar on May 27 for a pub quiz, based on a photo he sent to his mother, Leanne Burnett. According to the UK’s Daily Mail, Johnson-Doyle was on a solo tour of Southeast Asia and had been backpacking in the region. The software engineer had arrived in Malaysia from Vietnam on May 17, working remotely while travelling across the region.

Re: British Man Missing In KL Since May 27, UK Media Reports

can only find blurred pics but hopefully unblurred appear. Maybe he was drunk and maybe lured by some hooker to go over there and got robbed and pushed. Bet they gonna check all the CCTV's to see who was with him if they didn't already. Often they don't want to discredit the country because of tourism so it's often a sudden death or suicide. A good lawyer/detective should be hired to dig up all the evidence.

Ton of cops there are currupt, especially towards foreigners. Any traffic offence from speeding to drunk driving can be settled by a bribe.

Re: British Man Missing In KL Since May 27, UK Media Reports

It stands that whoever uses the residential flat where the phone was last located is likely connected with the murder/robbery. It isn't like victim would willingly go anywhere without his smart phone.
