I put this in Medical, but, I think it's a really cool story so I am putting here, too, with the hope that more people will see it.

A 26 year old Michigan woman declared brain dead after suffering two brain aneurysms on March 6, has given birth to twin boys. The babies, Nicholas and Alexander, weighing 1 pound, 9 ounces, and 1 pound, 5 ounces, respectively, were delivered via C-section at only 25 weeks after mom Christine Bolden's blood pressure on life support was deemed dangerously high.

Bolden's aunt told local news station 24 Hour News 8 that the family had asked doctors not to anesthetize Bolden during the surgery in the hopes that she might have felt the pain "and wake up saying, 'wait a minute I can feel that!' ... But it didn't happen."

She was kept on life support to allow the babies to develop longer and give them a better chance of surviving. Only time will tell.
