If that happened in the south with a group of rednecks, a number of famous black people would condemn such behavior and get the nation riled up. This kind of behavior just breeds segregation. it worked well in south africa....SA used to be a clean, safe and wealthy country.....the fact that most of the world had sanctions against SA was a bit crap because it made getting music harder and SA weren't really involved in international sports but at the same time it meant that south africans had to develop and manufacture stuff that they needed that wasn't imported....like appliances, and petrol....thus there was a huge manufacturing sector which is all but gone now just like everywhere else.... what a lot of people don't realise about apartheid is that africans (blacks) were all given their traditional homelands to live in and govern as they pleased....but those places sucked and were basically just bushland which is what they were before white people came to SA and turned it into the most powerful nation, financially (and militarily) in africa..... africans want their culture but their culture is just loin cloths, sorghum beer and no wheels it seems |
