Re: Bomb Kills Over 50 in Park a Lahore Pakistan
I get that completely, and I agree with you about the scary numbers, but I'll toss two more questions in your direction: 1. Where is this 19 million-strong insurgency and why aren't they fighting for ISIS? 2. Do you think it might have something to do with the fact that they've lived in a war zone for quite awhile? Again, I'm not discounting the findings at all. Just thinking outside the proverbial box. |

No,I don't think it because the are in a war zone . It's all about ideology . Just because A kid lives in orphanage all his younger years , doesn't justify him committing a murder or a rape . |

Just for argument sake no I didn't underestimate the numbers in Africa . I only gave a few examples and those were Nigeria @14% and Malaysia @11% supporting Isis . Now if you all the sudden want to include the "don't knows " .....okay |

Yes, and the ideology is not 1400 years old. It made a good sell in Pakistan because of the war, but the foundation was laid by the Saudi-funded Wahhabi Imams. You can't discount warfare. Look at us. We are freaking out over what has happened in Europe... But according to one report, about 50,000 Pakistani civilians were killed between 2004-2013 (500-1000 by errant drone strikes), which is about twice as many militants have been killed. If you don't think that has made a serious impact, then I would ask you to reconsider. |

You arent trying to discount warfare, just saying that warfare does not justify what they are doing... Of course it is a factor...and from the number of people killed in that one country alone, It SHOULD (for any human) have an effect....not a justification or a defence... If that many died at the hands/wings of drones....US drones, of course it is to be expected considering the atmosphere there that there would be violent retaliation. Even or moreso in Afghanistan. Malala Yousafsai questioned Obama on the use of drones in her country on her visit to the white House, so of course this is going to AFFECT ones viewpoint. |

True, although there are a few temporary barriers to numbers of emigrees as high as that in Europe. Chances are,....(if for no other reason)...., the EU or NATO or whoever wants to "share" in the "responsibilities" of taking on the refugees.....and will perpetrate a GUILT CAMPAIGN" on the US....resulting in some kind of either policy change or policy adjustment so as to take in more refugees. when the terrorist attacks do start to occure here, it will probably be that they are carried oyt by US residents or US citizens....maybe a few immigrants, but its doubtful. Immigrants who may have a chance of entire families being charged and deported is going to curb that kind of "enthusiasm. |
