Re: Bolivia | Mob Buries Teen Rape Suspect Alive, Next to Body of His 'Victim'
I hope he was the actual rapist. God, I would take my kids and leave a place like that. Imagine the feeling of any parent losing an innocent?

Re: Bolivia | Mob Buries Teen Rape Suspect Alive, Next to Body of His 'Victim'
It's interesting how the same problem is dealt with in different countries: in countries like India and Pakistan rape is tolerated if not ENCOURAGED, in many south-american countries if you do that you are a dead man. In the middle, there are countries like China, where (thanks to a law introduced in 1997) the perpetrator of crimes of phaedophily may be allowed to go free as long as he claims not to know the girl is under 14 (not to mention what happens to adult ones), and the so called First World Countries, where if you rape and kill you'll be given a place where to sleep, to eat, to study @ the university for free (sometimes they have also cable tv and internet) etcetera at expenses of taxpayers. Yes, of course this is what a civil country is supposed to do, BUT My country spends €. 200,00 DAILY for each inmate, while there are so many honest people litterally starving to death. And this, regardless of where you live, is U.N.A.C.C.E.P.T.A.B.L.E. IF the man was guilty (and he KNEW that this was what he would face for raping and killing a woman), then justice has been served according to the local laws. Tribunals are supposed to guarantee constitutional rights, but what often really happens is that if the perpetrator is wealthy and/or powerful, then he won't pay for what he did, while if he's poor then taxpayer will pay to warrant him the best legal defence possible, and a comfortable place to live until the day that he'll be freed so he can start raping and killing again. There's definitely something wrong with all this, in my opinion. |

Re: Bolivia | Mob Buries Teen Rape Suspect Alive, Next to Body of His 'Victim'
I wholeheartedly agree on death for all rapists and molesters. I don't agree to torture, it puts us on their level, it makes us monsters too. As I am a rape and molest survivor, and the mother of a rape survivor, I have more than the average person to bring to this conversation. I also absolutely insist on KNOWING FOR CERTAIN that they are indeed the rapist or molester. Because witness testimony has recently proven to be uncertain, only DNA proof will do for a death penalty. I do not trust mob mentality. I'm willing to bet that mothers have lost innocent children to that. |

Re: Bolivia | Mob Buries Teen Rape Suspect Alive, Next to Body of His 'Victim'
You should NEVER trust it, ffs But sometimes, even knowing for certain that one is indeed the rapist or the molester or the killer, you are unable to prove it in front of a court, because the only witness is dead, that's the why. At this point, you should think about the relatives of the victim, and about what they can do in order to get some justice. You can't sentence to 30 years some dude just because a woman claims to have been raped, but on the other hand you can't ask to taxpayers to pay for the survival of the multitude of convicted pieces of shit forever. Or FREE him just because his lawyers will prove that the sight of the whitness is not very good, that the victim was used to behave like a whore and so on. When the truth falls into the hands of sharks like those, then the relatives of a victim have no longer hopes to find the truth. Once proven guilty, the consequences for their life should be life-altering, not just eating pasta and watching tv24/7. And cost free. |

I am not trying to sound like the highly educated and knowledgeable person although my opinion will appear that way to most people. I watched the video and in my opinion, some of those people should be buried alive just for their ridiculous head gear. |

Um, what? They know the consequences, they do it anyway because they're part of a culture that does not respect life. Its like asking why do people do drugs when they know the effects. Why do Mexicans become involved with the drugs trade. Why do Americans eat and eat? Human stupidity is why laws and boundaries were made. I agree that a rapist must be lynched as well as murderers but that path easily leads down dark alleys if they're conducted as a daily occurrence. |
