What do you think they took? She may be "free" but she's still served a life sentence.

Think about - she's been in prison since she was 20 and she's about to turn 70. What exactly is she coming out to? A life of luxury? Is she going to get a job, a nice car and think about meeting a man... getting married?

Her life is gone - she's literally waiting to die now.
