Baby Dies After Being Fed Vodka And Baby Formula
ATLANTA, GA An Atlanta father is now facing murder charges after his daughter died when he fed the 4-month-old vodka mixed with baby formula, last June. A grand jury indicted Keith Furlow on charges of felony murder and cruelty to children in the second degree. A toxicology report showed that the baby had a blood-alcohol concentration level of .11, police said. Georgia's legal limit is .08. "It's a sad case. It's a terrible case. The child's blood alcohol concentration was very high, you know, what would be the legal limit in an adult," the DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James told WSB Radio. It was unclear why the father allegedly gave the infant vodka, but investigators who have seen some of the worse cases.  · |
