Re: Baby Died After Ambulance Fuel Stop
If you can make it to the hospital faster than it would take ES to reach you and take you in, I say go for it. Plus, always have someone standing outside the home to flag down the ambulance. In my neighborhood, none of the house numbers follow any sort of sense. I'm 2119 and the neighbor to my left is 2166 and to the right, 2233. I don't even want to imagine the pain her parents are going through. RIP Little Bella. |

Re: Baby Died After Ambulance Fuel Stop
I had an ambulance ask me for directions one time, but, they didn't have their siren on. Our firemen and police wash and gas up when they are between calls, not on the way to a call |

Re: Baby Died After Ambulance Fuel Stop
This sickens me. Pass the buck...it was the fuel...no it was a new build and not on GPS...no, they didn't tell us they had air med coming...no one wants to take the blame for this because they killed a poor little baby. |

Re: Baby Died After Ambulance Fuel Stop
I wouldn't say they "Killed" the baby. It had a serious congenital heart defect, its chances of survival were very low to begin with. Yes it is terrible that the car couldnt find the right address and that the ambulance was low on fuel, but this is quite regular. I work for the Ambulance service and our crews are over worked and constantly driving, regularly doing over 300 miles travel in an 8 hour shift. |
