AUSTRALIAN Muslim leaders have urged members of their community to unite against jihadists planning a terror attack on Australian soil and condemn them as radicals betraying their faith.

Prominent moderate Muslim leader Jamal Rifi said the vast majority of the city’s 200,000-strong Muslim community would be relieved that such alleged terror plots were foiled by authorities.

But he said news of the *arrests of 15 terror suspects, and the revelation of the *alleged evil intent, was a double-edge sword.

Writing in today’s Daily Telegraph (see below) Dr Rifi warned: “On the one hand there is a great sense of relief that such a plot was nipped in the bud, but also a sense of apprehension that we are all going to be found guilty by association.

“The fear is there will be a backlash against innocent people from our community who have nothing to do with what these people have been arrested for.”

Moderate Muslim leaders including the Mufti of Australia Ibrahim Abu Mohammed held phone conferences yesterday morning to determine their course of action.

At the forefront of their minds was the collective sense of anger felt within the wider Australian community over revelations of the planned terror attacks and the possibility of a backlash against Muslims in general.

Dr Mohammad said Australians had nothing to fear from the Muslim community as a whole.

“Since the ISIS group was established we have been very clear about denouncing their lies and betrayal of our faith,” he said.

Nine years ago, successful Sydney businessman Mamdouh Elomar awoke to find his family literally looking down the gun barrels of ASIO and Australian Federal Police officers.

“We don’t need people like this — they don’t have the support of the Muslim community.

That's what I got from it. The US as well as Australia are at war, that's not overblown. Just because this enemy doesn't have aircraft carriers doesn't make them less dangerous. Just because they aren't capable of defeating the Australian military doesn't mean they are not a serious threat to the population. Australia should show overwhelming force when dealing with the terrorist. And be extremely vigilant in finding and eliminating these dogs.

Here's another long one. So you people with ADD, save your time and the last couple of brain cells you have now and go read a cereal box label or something. Lol.

I do NOT mean you niknik. As far as I can tell, you do at least my replies before you debate them. Some people just pick out the only sentence they read and start debating me. And then get mad at me when they look like an idiot. Go figure, lol.

The war itself isn't overblown, but the fear factor that is pushed as ALWAYS is. As ALWAYS is the case, we are told they are among us, waiting at anytime to kill us all, etc. Support the war or they will be killing YOU and YOUR family at anytime. They are EVERYWHERE, ESPECIALLY in your neighborhood, etc. No need to repeat even more of what I've said before that no one seems to get.

Quiet simply that is how they have ALWAYS gotten public support for war. It's not a new tactic. The romans and everyone since them has done it. Yet we fall for it time and time again like a child with a bad card trick.

It's kind of like doing a friday the 13th movie marathon. They might all be different parts, but ultimately it's the same fucking story every time. Yet somehow people still swallow it as new and inventive.

A couple of years ago people everywhere, ESPECIALLY in our so called ally countries were talking about how we manufactured bullshit to get into the iraq war, etc. Also how we WAY overestimate the need to fear islam, etc.

Now of course when the same drums start beating as 12 years ago, EVERYONE forgets what happened and falls for the same propaganda again. It's startling how stupid the general public can be.

I don't hold a grudge against Australians because I contribute it to simple human behavior, but it is a cold hard fact that many of them on this very site and on tv were the ones a couple or so years ago basically calling the U.S. war mongers and saying the world would be better off without us "starting" shit.

Two years ago, our so called allies were treating us the same way ebola victims in africa are being treated, lol. At a distance and with gloves!

I also remember remarks that many of our so called allies made on international news on the subject and trying to rush us to back out of iraq. For those with a memory, they will remember that they said we had already been there too long and should have left years ago, lol.

Well, we finally left, YEARS after our allies advised. So how did that turn out? Lol. So some of the VERY allies that rushed us to get the fuck out of iraq are now reaping the benefits of dealing with ISIS (I'm not naming names, but do your research if the subject concerns you. Hint: Damn near all of our allies said leave). I do believe I am the first person anywhere to point that out. Hmmm!

I could give some really elegant stories along with videos and links showing each and every so called ally and what they were saying about us a short couple of years ago.

I would have to in order to prove it because peoples memories are so short these days. They forget what happened last week in the news and debate what's going on today like their uninformed short term memory opinion matters.

But it would be a waste of time to put those hours into proving a single point. I would be bombarded by people on here who have ADD and they would complain that it was too long, I use words with more than 6 letters too often, wah, wah, wah, etc.

Can you imagine if we did listen to the advice of some of our allies and stayed out of world politics altogether?

Yeah, that would solve the worlds problems fast wouldn't it? Lol. That's why I have so little respect for the day to day "opinions" of the public. They are swayed by and form their opinions by whatever is dribbled to them from the media which is controlled and owned by 3 or 4 people worldwide.

If right now, they got on the media and told the public the threat is over, they would sleep well tonight and not think again about the ISIS problem. The whole time, not a fucking thing changed in reality. Lol, but that's the dumb masses.

Now that they have an overblown exaggeration of ISIS on their home fronts , these countries are proud U.S. allies. It's almost funny if it weren't for the seriousness of the situation.

As soon as this shit is over, our so called proud allies will be AGAIN saying "United States who?" Lol. Just WATCH AND SEE!

If our allies talk shit about us again after this, as far as I'm concerned we can lock down our borders, start using 3D printers to make what we need and the world can fuck off and fight among themselves. Then we would see what countries get controlled by who. They would all have to either learn arabic, chinese or russian!

The fact that I am apparently the only one on here that can see the humor of roughly 1000 officers arresting one guy is outright disturbing. I can't even get someone to do a pretend laugh on that one apparently, lol.

I laugh at it, but at the same time, it saddens me. It's a small pitiful statement of bigger worldwide problem on just how dumb people are (the general public that is) and just how much they let fear control them. It's been proven time and time again, get the public to fear something and they will do ANYTHING that is asked of them.

I'm as fearless as it pretty much gets. Have counted myself as dead literally over 10 times. Somehow I'm still in the world being a thorn in the side of stupidity and being a voice in the wilderness. I don't even flinch anymore when I feel my very life is threatened. Let alone by some supposed terrorist nutters.

So I guess it's just hard for me to understand what it's like to shit my pants. I guess it feels warm and gooey and stinks? Can someone explain how it feels to me? There are a few on this site that should be able to. Lol.

PS, a few years ago SOME of our allies were saying that it's time for other countries to step up and take the lead in the world. That the U.S. just isn't doing enough nor are we doing it right.

Now, the ISIS threat appears and WHERE ARE ALL OF THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS AT NOW???? Answer: On the sidelines or behind us saying "you first U.S., we have your back".
