Those were provided by fox news and I included the link to it. They get their info from reuters I'm sure like most media outlets. So if correcting the author of this information is what you are doing, then I'm not the one to correct. It would be reuters.

As far as the numbers, it still doesn't change the fact that it was WAY overkill and it was in order to create drama. It is having it's desired effects. There is NO conspiracy theory, etc. needed. Just look at the obvious.

We Americans have been seeing this propaganda for decades now. We went through it with the militia in the 90's. The government and media made it sound like the country was in immediate danger from these people who no doubt live right by you. You should be VERY afraid.

It turns out they were nothing more than very concerned citizens who are tired of our country going into the shitter. There was no threat even there in that case. Maybe there is SOME threat now with ISIS, I'm not saying there is absolutely no threat. Just an overblown one.

All I'm saying ultimately to break it down even further, is it's fear mongering. I DO FULLY realize that Australia is new to this.

That's kind of why I am giving you a free public service announcement here because we have been there, done it in the U.S. I can tell already that the U.S. propaganda machine is getting cranked up though. It will be going on here soon full steam.

In most of these cases they will have one person truly committing a crime if even that. They go in and "DETAIN" a few dozen giving the impression that it's a major terrorist group, etc.

Then let them go or file charges on them for drug possession for having a joint on them, etc. Shit that had NOTHING to do with what the cops were there for in the first place.

They list on the news the total numbers of charges filed, which includes pot misdemeanors, but they do NOT say that. You have to do your research. And the whole things sounds epic. Like they saved you and your family from certain death, lol.

I'm sure they have you guys shitting your pants and thinking you are surrounded by ever present danger. That way you will EASILY support the war that is going on. These tactics are as old as time itself. The Romans did this. Lol. It's nothing new folks. I'm not writing my own reality here.

The U.S. media and government are masters of this. As sure as you are alive when you read this, the Australian government is following a script of how to do things that was written in the U.S.

I'm NOT saying we are ordering the Australian government to do what they are doing or that they answer to the U.S., but I am saying they are following the same script that was created here and continues to be used when it comes to propaganda and fear mongering. And we are allies after all, so why wouldn't they?

All said and done, as I have said before, I am ALL for blowing ISIS and any islamist nutters out of existence. I hate the bastards so much I can't get to sleep if night if I am thinking about it.

Why are you stating this as though you are privy to Australian police force intelligence in the matter?

The fact is, islamic extremists in this country have been actively recruiting Australians to fight for IS, and have also been vocal in threatening Australian "infidels" with acts of violence for quite some time.

No it is not a coincidence that these raids came a week after our government pledged it's armed forces to the fight. It's clearly a catalyst creating urgency in these groups.

#. I didn't say you created the statistics you posted. I simply corrected them because the page you linked was so inaccurate i laughed, the information was obviously pulled from someones arse and posted as fact.
#. My previous post explained why the number of police per raid seemed high. This is a standard reaction to a genuine threat. It turned out the high numbers weren't needed, but what if it went different? What if only 6 cops turn up to find 20 Achmeds armed with automatic rifles, heavy machine guns, and explosives? i also gave an educated opinion on why there were so many raids.
#. Australia isn't new to propaganda, fear mongering, conspiracies, or terror threats at all. Great example, have you ever heard of Harold Halt? Prime Minister during the late 60's disappeared while swimming. Logical explanation is he drowned and was taken by the strong current but some bullshit media also hinted that he was abducted by the Chinese or Russians, and even aliens.
