Arthur Shawcross Car For Sale On Craigslist
A car said to belong to serial killer Arthur Shawcross is being offered for sale on Craigslist for $15,000. The 1984 Chevy Celebrity is being advertised as the car that Shawcross used to "do his thing" in. The owner of the car bought it from a police auction and it's been sitting in a barn since 1990. The owner said the police rifled through the car looking for evidence and it's in pretty bad shape – missing a door, and a headlight has been ripped out. The last time the car ran was in 1990. That's the same year Shawcross was convicted for the murders of eleven Rochester women. His killing spree lasted from March of 1988 to January of 1990. Shawcross was serving a 250 year prison sentence when he died in November of 2008 at the Sullivan Correctional Facility. http://rochester.ynn.com/content/top...on-craigslist/ |

I'm sorry for your loss, Mandarotica. Having lost my father and two younger brothers in three years, I know it never gets better. I would imagine the murder of a loved one is far worse and gives you a bunch of other issues to deal with. Shawcross, like most serial killers, had a domineering mother and had been abused himself. Not making excuses, but, most of them have screwed up childhoods. Sad for everyone. |
