I have mixed feelings about this... It appears to have happened about 45 minutes south of where I live. We've had one instance of illegal migrants cutting through our property, compounded by the fact that they were being chased by sheriffs (border patrol?) and that we have dogs who weren't keen on having strangers barging over the fence. Shit can be nerve-wracking. Would I be inclined to arm myself? Probably. But to shoot the guy while his back was turned and he was running away? Seeing as how the neighbors say it's not the first time migrants have entered the property line, it seems the rancher's emotions got the better of him. |
