I'm hoping that law-obiding citizens aren't going to be punished by new gun laws because of these shootings. Just look at all the control on suppressors by the NFA. Insane stuff. More police officers should surely be added onto the campus of every school in the USA, or maybe better security measures before coming inside the school?

I agree with you on a few things there. like in the end I think that the democrats dont want the schools to look like a military zone or a prison with so much law enforcement and gates. they want to control the EASE of obtaining guns, which is fucking easy. but I dont think they want to take them away.

look at this case for a second. this kid was already investigated for stating that he wanted to do a school shooting on discord but they couldnt find a connection to his account and the email used. but in the end his father had rifles. since it wasnt the father, obviously they couldnt take his rifles that he used for this so its hard. this was totally the parents fault as they knew and didnt bother to lock it up properly AFTER knowing his son has been investigated.

now the case that happened a while ago where the little kids parents BOUGHT him a gun under their name and let him have it, and now they are all in jail, how do you handle a situation like that? mom purchased it legally, so that couldnt have been taken away.

so whats the answer? more guns or gun restrictions or turn all schools into prison environments with lots of metal detectors , more cops and teachers with guns?

its a tough situation which I believe will have no resolve.

Or we could do the logical thing that everyone ignores and pretends doesn't exist.

Take the kid who is troubled at school and magically had threats to shoot up a school appear on his account... and get him some psychological help before those threats become actions.

Agreed. Everyone always says prayers and gets depressed, as opposed to actually doing something about it.

Not sure who's really to blame here. Is it the news? The popularity of shootings? The father? If a 14 year old has the mental state of wanting to kill people, I think we can all agree that guns being the issue is irrelevant. People will find a way to hurt others, which is what we're good at, might I add.
