What is anakonda:
Exercise Anakonda 2016 (AN16) is one of U.S. Army Europe’s premier multinational training events. AN16 is a Polish national exercise that seeks to train, exercise and integrate Polish national command and force structures into an allied, joint, multinational environment.

This exercise further supports assurance and deterrence measures by demonstrating allied defense capabilities to deploy, mass and sustain combat power.

This exercise will involve more than 25,000 participants from 24 nations, including Albania, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.

I can't find that story in english but basically german authorities didn't allowed US troops and supplies for anakonda-16 exercise to cross german-polish border and they have to re-route propably through Czech Republic.

Re: Anakonda-16 - Germany Didn't Allowed US Troops to Cross German-polish Border

Exercise Anakonda 16, a 24-nation event in Poland, is a vital piece of U.S. and NATO posture because it will demonstrate to the world – and especially to Russia – the resolve and capabilities of a strong European alliance. Actions like this exercise, involving a multinational force of 25,000 troops, demonstrate to our friends and potential adversaries the sort of reaction an aggressor would encounter. Sending more prepositioned stocks to Europe and continuing training rotations there are other important steps in credible deterrence, but the top priority must be improving the overall readiness of America’s Army - See more at:
