I'm on the fence about Nirvana. They "made it big" when I was in the 8th grade, so my opinion on them is skewed a bit. Cobain was a terrible guitarist, a and horrible singer, but he could write lyrics. He also played with heart. A lot of musicians can't claim that. From what I remember: He killed himself(assuming Courtney wasn't the one) because he didn't like being famous. |

As does Ozzie Osborne although I have to hand it to him, he did eventually clean up his act. At least the last I heard he had.

Frankly, I'm not a big fan of the guy's lyrics, either. I think he made an impact on the music scene, set some wheels in motion, but in my opinion, the music itself isn't fantastic.. I think tragedy puts people on pedestals.
