On a toboggan, Oswald?

Looks like when the sled stopped dead at the gate, the kids were catapulted into the roof at a tremendous force in order to cause that damage.

I would have checked the track for obstructions first but I have always wanted to take a toboggan down a bobsled track.

Sucks the kids died.

C'mon guys..... on a PROFESSIONAL Bobsled run, with no professional training?!?!?!?!?!? With a toboggan???

I mean, I might want to do it, but there's no freaking way, no matter how f'ed up I am, I'm actually going to do it!

Re: After-hours Visit to Calgary Bobsled Track Leads to 2 Deaths

They did this run after midnight and probably in the dark too. They didn't see the gate coming or feel a thing... the dead kids anyway! Bobsleds go almost 80 MPH on this track so a tobaggan must have been doing 55+ MPH! I wanna try this on my fatbike during the day with many cameras so I can show it on DR.

as a regular person and no trained athlete - especially in a dangerous sport like that - i highly doubt you should go down there at all if you dont want to get hurt

But at least one of them had worked at that track before and knew the dangers involved.

It doesn't take a genius to recognize that certain precautions need to be taken in any high speed endeavor.

Its like any extreme sport you need to commit and not be a pussy. People do shit like this all the time and dont die. Not only bobsleds, bikes, skateboards, you name it... granted these kids did not go about it the smartest way, don't get me wrong.
