CHANGED THE AGREEMENT? That would have resulted in instant Taliban attacks, overwhelming all the American forces, which would have resulted in their deaths, and then the taking of every U.S. citizen in Afghanistan as a hostage. We'd have been seeing executions and beheadings for the next 2 years.
We've gotten nearly every American out of Afghanistan who wants to leave. It's too bad the soldiers were killed, but that WASN'T the Taliban, and they DIDN'T want this to happen.
