AC/DC's Future in Doubt As Retirement Rumors Grow

I'm not really a fan of this band but after all these years it's sad to see them being forced into retirement.

Re: AC/DC's Future in Doubt As Retirement Rumors Grow

I've been a fan since I was 14.
It was 1976 and a friend played me a record of this Australian band he found in the import section at the local record store.
We went to see them in '77, '78 and '79, every single time they played near Allentown PA.

I LOVE THESE GUYS!

I never saw an arena show with "the new guy" Brian Johnson until my brother got tickets to see the Black Ice tour in Philadelphia.

I LOVE THESE GUYS!

As a lifelong musician myself (My friend and I started a band in Jr High and played AC/DC, Sex Pistols etc.) I say let them rest.

AC/DC IS the greatest single straight up rock 'n' roll band in history and probably always will be!

Let them rest.

Re: AC/DC's Future in Doubt As Retirement Rumors Grow

I was at that same concert in Filthydelphia. Is that where they announced Brian's 60th birthday, or was it at Giants Stadium, or whatever it's called now, in Secaucus, NJ?

I think the new guy did well!

I don't remember that.

Yes he did!

Yes he did!
I never saw the old band with Bon.

I took my niece and we did really well with tickets at regular price! She had a blast!

We had 4th row from the stage and 5 seats from ramp in Filthydelphia.

In Secaucus, we were about 12 rows from the stage and right next to the ramp.

It's my one vice. If I'm not up front, I don't go to concerts.

Same here, I like to find myself a nice big bass bin and settle in front of it.

Shame

This summed it up well:

"Rock N Roll Dream," from Black Ice, is everything AC/DC was about. They wanted the rock n' roll dream, they got it, then they lived it.

How sad ...these guys take me back to my high school days. Was not a huge fan, but loved a lot of their songs.
