Re: AAron Hernandez Commits Suicide
I'm guessing after the not guilty verdict and possible appeal on the Odin murder he knew the other immates had it out for him, he, the thug rather died by his own hand. Good riddens |

Re: AAron Hernandez Commits Suicide
Apparently, he wrote "John 3:16" on his forehead in red marker. The stories I'm reading state that in the past very recent time he had begun to talk about how the only people who were supportive of him were his attorneys and he had just begun having conversations with prison staff and court bailiffs about how he was basically by himself in prison. The possibility of him getting a retrial on the murder of his friend was very slim, so he knew he had many years to go. I also believe that due to the football he had mental problems - I've never seen any documentation of it and it wasn't used as an excuse in his trials, but just IMO. |

Re: AAron Hernandez Commits Suicide
Oh, that's a solid hypothesis! I hadn't thought of that one, I just figured he didn't want to do the long prison sentence. "chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), which the Mayo Clinic defines as “brain degeneration likely caused by repeated head traumas” that is “a diagnosis only made at autopsy,”" -google He wouldn't be the first athlete to become violent after repeated blows to the head, which was later confirmed to be CTE, at autopsy. Usually I think they suicide after killing someone else though, or simply suicide, instead of killing an innocent person too. Like Chris Benoit, pro- wrestler, killed his wife and kid(?), then himself. Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend before fatally shooting himself in the head in the team parking lot. Good article about CTE from playing sports. |

Re: AAron Hernandez Commits Suicide
This stuff happens a lot. Head injuries of all kinds can completely fuck someones personality up. These murders Hernandez was tried and accused of happened approximately 2 years after his first season. So head injuries could be a huge culprit in his case and others like this. |

Re: AAron Hernandez Commits Suicide
He was a problem child before he went to college. Urban Meyer made him room with Tebow at UF so that Tim would hopefully be a positive influence on him. And to keep him out of trouble; Tebow once had to drag him out of a bar because he was drinking heavily. |

Re: AAron Hernandez Commits Suicide
Maybe it's just men it causes the violence in? and maybe they were predisposed to being violent. I mean, it's predominantly wrestlers, football players, returning military guys after all, right? Just my thoughts there. |

Re: AAron Hernandez Commits Suicide
I have no idea what the stats are. I havent done a ton of research into just when these cases happen or something crazy happens. But most of those professions are male dominated so id assume the stats for males are higher but mostly only cause of that reason. I know Ive seen change in me from all the shit ive been through plus my accidents I had back in 2011. My personality changed A LOT from all that. So I can say for sure it does change personalities and "trigger" conditions that may have previously not been seen or may have never even existed before said incidents have happened.

Re: AAron Hernandez Commits Suicide
I'm hoping during the autopsy they obviously have to do on him they'll be able to tell whether he had CTE or not. His concussions would have started at a young age in youth league football, then of course high school. By college he could have already had a couple of concussions. We'll see.
