I took a non functioning pistol to school once, i also took a shitload of live ammunition from WW2 on another occasion as well. A teacher picked up 1 cartridge, shook it, and then said that's ok because she couldn't hear the gunpowder. What i didn't know until many years later is that those cartridges WERE live, the gunpowder they used back then was in long thin sticks, not like the short cut grains like today. Try doing that these days and you'd be arrested.
