BARRINEAU PARK, Fla. (WTW) — A Florida Panhandle man faces dozens of animal cruelty charges after authorities said they found skeletal remains and animals living in poor conditions at his home.

The Pensacola News Journal (http://on.pnj.com/zRAmaf) reports that Escambia County animal control officers went to Roger Kervin's Barrineau Park home Tuesday to check on a complaint about a dog bite.

According to an arrest affidavit, officers found 77 animals at Kervin's home -- 43 dogs, 16 goats, 16 hogs and two piglets. The officers said they also found nine skeletal remains and three dead animals.

Authorities say 10 dogs had to be euthanized.

Kervin was arrested Friday. He was being held Saturday at the Escambia County jail on $97,500 bond. Jail records did not show whether he had an attorney.
