70 People Murdered at Carnival Ceará
 Carnival Ceará had 70 homicides in Fortaleza region between Friday (February 28) and the night of Tuesday (4), according to the website of the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense. The carnival this year is the most violent homicides in at least the past 10 years. In 2013, 55 homicides were recorded until the morning of Ash Wednesday. The Fortaleza Metropolitan Region had the highest number of violent deaths, with 32 cases. According to the Department of Safety, 24 of these deaths were homicides by gunfire, the rest were deaths with cutting weapon (like knives), traffic accidents and findings cadáver.DO-G1  I'm glad our carnivals arent like that.... |

Lol no. It's a 4 day carnival in Brazil.. Its almost like Mardi Gras I guess you could say (if your American). Its mostly just drinking and dancing.

But unlike Mardi Gras, women dancing butt-nekkid is actually part of the parade itself. Not a bad trade-off for 70 murdered people, if you ask me.  |
