6 Year Old Girl Shot in the Neck in Australia.

A crime scene has been established at a home in Sydney’s Lalor Park following the death of a six-year-old girl who was with several other young children.

A man inside the house was heard to scream “she’s dead ... she’s shot herself’’ as neighbours raced outside to be confronted by the chaotic scene.

Emergency services were called to a home on Danny Rd just after 8pm Sunday where they found a the girl with a fatal gunshot wound to her neck.

Police detectives from Quakers Hill Local Area Command swarmed the home as they launched a major investigation into the girl’s death.

Police were seen speaking with the girl’s distraught family as they investigated whether the gunshot wound was self-inflicted while neighbours said the young girl’s mother was “hysterical”.

One neighbour said he ran outside to “chaos” with people running around and crying.

He helped neighbours take three children from the house where the girl was shot into a neighbouring property away from what had happened.

The mother of the girl then came in to the house and was “hysterical”, he said.

“We saw there was chaos and we thought one of the neighbours were in trouble and we went out to help,” he said.

“The lady who lives opposite us is a friend of ours, she lives next door to the house where it happened.

“There was people running around and crying.”

Neighbour Mel Toilalo said she thought the noise was “a car crash’’ because it was so loud.

“I ran outside ... I saw a man on the floor, he was screaming ‘she is dead’ or ‘she has shot herself’,’’ Ms Toilalo said.

“She was screaming it was his fault because he had a gun in the house.’’

Ms Toilalo said the girl’s mother came out of the house and was arguing with a man, who was later seen sitting in the gutter with his head in his hands.

Daily Mail Australia reported a woman shouting, “I hate you, I hate you!” from an ambulance at the scene. Fairfax reports she could also be heard screaming, “not my baby girl, not my baby girl” and “rot in hell”.

“I hate you, he killed my baby girl,” she later screamed, the Mail reported.

A man was filmed sitting in the gutter, visibly upset.

Fairfax reported he was later filmed being led into the back of a police van.

Meanwhile, Fairfax reports police had previously been called to the address in September last year, over reports of “multiple gunshot sounds and yelling”.

The house is within a few kilometres of Blacktown Hospital, but the girl died at the scene.

No other information on the shooting is available at this time.
