Re: 50,000 Abandoned Dogs Roaming Streets of Detroit in Packs
Wow, only 4 ACO's for all of Detroit? WTF? You'd think mega-wealthy groups like HSUS and ASPCA would be pumping some funding/assistance to get that under control. Of course that would involve them actually spending those donations on helping animals instead of themselves.

Bastard! I was going to say the same thing. All of these poor people in the world and we have 50,000 mutts roaming around uselessly and breeding? I guarantee that if the USA was faced with a food crisis these dogs would be chow mien in no time. |

hahahaha, I grew up on a native reserve and we have this as well ("rezdogs"). just packs of dogs runnin around fuckin up chickens and cats. sometimes you can claim one as a pup or a transient guest in the house. but this was rural. in a city, I bet the crowding and horniness of unsnipped dogs must make for some disease/population control problems. hahhahaha, crime bosses and streetwalkers could make friends with the dog packs, cookie tips in exchange for protection (and a warm place to sleep for hobos) |

Re: 50,000 Abandoned Dogs Roaming Streets of Detroit in Packs
"A number of private organizations have stepped in to address the issue with plans to create a no-kill shelter to house some of the animals." Besides trying to fund it with hopes and dreams..who's going to want to adopt all those dogs? There's a reason there's so many out there. Put a $3 bounty per dog..that'll help with the problem. |
