From a child, it's expected they may make a mistake from time to time, but, not from a professional. The people posting the text on News shows obviously aren't proofreading them and don't give a shit! I've been noticing more and more mistakes over the past several years I used to proofread legal documents in my free time at the law firm for which I worked for 18 years. Finding your own are the hardest though, especially late at night for me. My brain is still functioning at full capacity, but, my hands want to go faster. I do it on facebook, too, but, the brain tends to read things the way they were meant to be. Thanks to Brometheus and others, who are kind enough to bring them to my attention, I edit them, when possible. I hate when I catch them after the editing period! |
