I worked with a guy from Panama, who was a dispatcher at America West Airlines (when it existed.) He told me that when airplanes go down in Panama, 95% of them are NEVER found. Once anything goes below the jungle canopy, it's invisible. Every once in a while, some geologist or archeologist will report they've found a wreck while wandering around under the jungle canopy. Sometimes the indigenous natives will report one, and lead some officials in to where the wreck is.  |
