Apparently there's CCTV of it too. Witnesses said that one of the victims had a daughter in the car behind who saw the whole thing

I'm about 2 hours from there and it has made all the news headlines, and the news interviewed the State Premier (I think equivalent to US Governors) and the Gold Coast Mayor. Very very tragic.
