4,400 Euro Fine After Posting Speeding Aston Martin Online
The Magistrate's Court in Dendermonde (East Flanders) has decided on a sentence in the case of the speeding Aston Martin driver. The man reached a speed of 292 kilometres per hour (181.4 miles per hour) on the E17 Motorway in Waasmunster (between Ghent and Antwerp) last year. The judge has suspended his driving licence for 2 years and 8 months and imposed a penalty of 4,400 euros. The case soon became a hot news item because his passenger, a 16-year-old boy, caught the speeding live on video and put it online. The footage enabled investigators to identify the driver: it turned out to be a 47-year-old property developer from Dendermonde (East Flanders). A local Dendermonde court suspended his driving licence for 2.5 years and 2 months extra because his car was not properly insured. There is an additional 2.5 year probation period. The driver also has to cough up a fine of 2,750 euros for speeding, together with 1,650 euros because his car was not properly insured. He also has to do 30 hours of community service in a rehabilitation centre for victims of traffic accidents. |

Re: 4,400 Euro Fine After Posting Speeding Aston Martin Online
I would have imposed a fine of 400,000€ + 5 years of prison just for doing that while listening a song that has been ruled by the International Criminal Court to be one of the worst tortures ever inflicted to the human's ears. Without a woman i can't do this, without a woman i cant do that, without a woman i'm a asshole, no no no no, yeyeyeye. Tie some HEAVY woman to your neck and dump yourself in the sea, i say! |

Re: 4,400 Euro Fine After Posting Speeding Aston Martin Online
I see at one point he hit 296kph, that's over 180 mph....that's fast for the type of roads he was on, and that's got to be close to an Aston Martins top speed. He's an even bigger idiot for posting it on the net. |
