Dog bites/attacks in general happen to children and the elderly.

It seems to be that kids don't know how to approach/act around a dog. The elderly act weak. Dominant dogs who are taught no manners react to weakness and target it.

A lot of people have "shifty" unstable dogs and are in denial, or really don't know.

You have a predator as a pet? You need to learn as much as you can about the species. Doesn't matter if it's the most mellow Labrador on the planet. You've gotta study dog behavior.
Until you do, these attacks will look like they came out of nowhere, especially since all the articles are written that way.

Even though there are some that seem to be ok.. its a fact that its in their genetic structure to be unpredictable and the risk should never be taken around children or people who don't want to chance it!

The most gentle dog I've ever known was a pitbull. A particular breed of dog may have inclinations, but these are traits are almost always, definitely brought out by us - purposefully or accidentally. I really am quite certain of this.

With so many reasons for a dog to suddenly do something unexpected, the simple rule is this: Do not have little kids around dogs. Supervised or not. Just no. Whether pitbull, or any other breed of dog.

Now now Illusion, you shouldn't be making up stories like this! We all know how innocent pit bulls are and there are some people on this site who will remind you of that! There are even charts and graphs to prove the point, lol! So a story like this CAN'T be real!

Now back to reality. It looks like we are in for a record breaking year of pit bull attacks. It's yet another example of how stupid and in denial mankind can be. ESPECIALLY when it comes to animals. How many is enough? HOW MANY pit bull attacks will it take before the majority stands up and says "There is a serious problem here".

I'm SO SICK of hearing about the "poor animal" when they attack someone. Save the dog! Save the dog! is the chant from the small brained but oversized heart people.

As far as I'm concerned pit bulls should be culled. They aren't good for anything but death and disfigurement. Stories like this are more proof that anyones "point of view" or pity for the animals is invalid when we see again and again what they are capable of.

If we put every pit bull story attack on this forum, there wouldn't be room for much else on here.

Apparently, ignorance is bliss...and rampant.
