Re: 28-Year-Old Dies During Tough Mudder Event
This reflexive lawsuit trend is taking the fun out of life. Yes, it's very sad this young man died in this manner, but tragedies happen. Life isn't going to be all flowers and rainbows and it's absurd to expect it to be. I'm sick of people insisting that emotional suffering entitles them to money. If I drowned in mud after voluntarily participating in an event like this, and my family tried to sue for such a ridiculous sum of money I would be terribly ashamed of them (at least as terribly ashamed as any dead person can be |

This is a marshal error. Nobody was watching a pool full of mud and water? really? As much as I hate this lawsuit shit, its dangerous to not keep marshals observing a place where you can drown. SHit happens and as you can see, it has happened. |

I was thinking the same thing. Let alone, if you drown in a tiny lake like that, you were not meant to be alive anyways in this world.

Re: 28-Year-Old Dies During Tough Mudder Event
A bunch of supposedly "tough guys" and one drowns in a muddy kiddie pool. Who would have thought that there son was such a failure at life, so the parents get mad and now want to sue. LOL, there sons memory will always be of a weakling who drowned in some muddy water.

Re: 28-Year-Old Dies During Tough Mudder Event
I think it has more to do with the woman jumping off that ledge on top of him so unexpectedly. If he yelled or gasped in surprise with his head in the water that's really all it would take. A bad split-second reaction with fatal results. If that's how it actually happened, who knows |

Re: 28-Year-Old Dies During Tough Mudder Event
He knew it was dangerous, he took the risk, he had balls and did it anyway, unfortunately the bloke died, too bad, your lawsuit is denied, case dismissed, court adjourned. There you go, over in 15 seconds.
