A massive fire has engulfed an apartment building under construction in downtown Los Angeles last night.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), firefighters were battling the blaze at the corner of Temple and Fremont streets.

The LAFD has subsequently tweeted the exact location of the incident.

From the latest reports, it appears they are finally getting it under control.

I wonder how far away you could feel the heat.

Anyone else like the idea of executing someone by but dropping them with a parachute into the upward draft of the heat, and then remotely disconnecting them at its Zenith to see them plummet into concrete or fire? Even if the draft doesn't catch them, the fall into flames would be funny. I'm sure Ottis Toole would have loved it.
