IF the mother was going to do that, she should have locked the baby in the room with the other two and the dog outside. She may not have told the guy she was leaving.

NO excuses! You do not leave two babies with a sleeping caregiver, especially if he never heard the infant cry!

poor kid. Wish his mom would have just taken him to the doctor with her and her other child. I would never leave my kid with someone who is asleep. That's like leaving them with no one at all. Neglectful.
