Probably was afraid to ask for contraceptive pill and/or had a poor sex education or very strict parents.

am I the only one who thinks this is incredibly sad...how scared of your parents do u have to be to put yourself thru something like this.....she must have been petrified....I've been in a similar situation (teen pregnancy) but knew I could tell my mum and dad without the fear of being scared of their reaction.
Poor girl and poor baby....diminished responsibility surely not first degree murder

Some parents put an age limit on when they think the teen should have sex. Perhaps she didn't hit that age yet, but, if the parents don't teach birth control, this is what can happen.
