Re: 11 Yo "Brony" Attempts Suicide After Being Bullied for Liking "My Little Pony"
This is terrible, I mean I can't say I wouldn't test my buddies about it if they did but still this was obviously taken way to far.

Re: 11 Yo "Brony" Attempts Suicide After Being Bullied for Liking "My Little Pony"
i used to do that all the time when i was a little kid. my grandma and my mom used to do my little kid nails when they would do theirs.... my dad hated it. then, my son had a period of time where he wanted to carry a purse like his mom did...everywhere. |

Re: 11 Yo "Brony" Attempts Suicide After Being Bullied for Liking "My Little Pony"
fair enough.... personally, i think it's inconsequential so long as others dont project their insecurities on the person and make it a big deal. when a child is developing, they tend to experiment with different styles and interests. i feel they should be allowed to without being judged (especially by adults who should know better than to put social pressures on a child). obviously society doesnt work that way.... and a child will end up being judged and ridiculed for nearly anything they do.... but that doesnt mean it's acceptable, right or moral (imho) |

Re: 11 Yo "Brony" Attempts Suicide After Being Bullied for Liking "My Little Pony"
i'm saying that because he was brave (and i would say the same thing about an adult that lives the life they choose to live)... and he was tormented daily for it. i'd like to see an adult willing to be like that. most are cowards and will change to follow suit the first time they are ridiculed. that, to me, is embarrassing to watch. to see a person be talked out of liking something because other's dont also like it...it's like watching a person give up who they are so they can fit in. what a shit way to live. as for the suicide... if you've ever been really, honestly suicidal, then you know the amount of strength and will power it takes just to get up in the morning and make an effort. i would feel disgusting with myself as a human being if i were to honestly feel that way and i would be far too ashamed to say that in public. what does that say about a person when they see a child bullied for not fitting in and their response is (like yours) " "...and all because an 11 yo was picked up for liking a certain cartoon.... because that's important socially, isnt it? |
