You need to understand that this is how the Vietnamese communicate. The first time I heard my Vietnamese wife talk to her mother like that, I scolded her for lack of respect. Everyone thought I was crazy. They said, “What?!? This is how we talk!”

This is a bit common in the East. He didn't want to really do any damage as he caught her when she was falling. He just didn't like her attitude (not taking sides, mind you).

Don't let the woman here fool you. He got her with a good shot to the stomach/ribs, but if he didn't, their woman can most definitely put up a good fight. Sounds like Vietnamese and they are tough!
