the lack of anything actually happening creates the frustration that boils over and this pathetic stuff happens

at least in strayan rules football, if your team gets absolutely smashed, you generally still get to scream happily 2-6 times a match, but in soccer . . . nothing but faint hope, extinguished by reality, followed by mass frustration
