He beat his mother so badly she suffered a broken bone on the third day of the Lunar New Year! He then brandished a knife and angrily threatened her: "Whether you live or die is up to you." He assaulted her because he didn't receive a red envelope (a traditional Chinese gift of money) during the Lunar New Year. The mother had recently accepted red envelopes from relatives who came to visit for the Lunar New Year, but did not give the money to her son. When the man found out, he lost control of his emotions as he needed the money to play games. When the son discovered that the security camera was recording, he damaged the recording equipment and continued to assault his mother and her elderly sister. |
