This is why I always carry a lock-fold hunting knife with me at all times, as we don't have concealed carry in Canada. They're all in jail now hopefully for a meaningful period of time, we'll see if they're really as 'tough' as they think they are. When a guy older and bigger than you comes to test you WHICH will happen in prison it always does then we'll see how macho these ******* are when they don't have 6 of their friends to back them up. It's one reason why I like prisons because it separates the 'murderers' from the 'killers' so to speak, the boys from the men.

We can all take some gratification in knowing this would be widely known in their state and coming into prison inmates would quickly hear of the circumstances of the incident and they are going to get tested by truly hard individuals.

Pulling a knife, shit any weapon, when you're beset with than many attackers, either you've been ambushed -or- you made a huge tactical misjudgement. Either way, that is usually the last place you want to present your weapon. Think on your feet and get away as best you can. If you can get separation between you and your attackers, if you have said pistol, that *might* be a time to pull it and go to work. But in this guy's situation, until he ran, introducing a weapon would only magnify his misfortune.
