Never let a threat get that close to you. Put the macho nose to nose shit away and concentrate on defending yourself. Backing up is actually a good strategy, frequently the other guy thinks you are afraid. Back in the day, I would actually prefer someone swing first. These guys are in such a rage they overswing and leave themselves wide open.
